Smartpack Performance and Package Data

Smartpack was conceived as a unit specifically intended for commercial, industrial and professional applications. However, it is now being regarded as suitable for high reliability military applications. To prove its capability in this role, a batch of twin pack modules were built with just one medium voltage power MOSFET mounted on each copper island.

Subdivided groups were each subject to a series of tests to limits defined by MIL750 or MIL883 procedures for flight applications. MOSFETs were used for the trials since these devices readily show any deterioration in package performance. The devices passed all their respective tests. Please refer to the chart below for full details.
