C3-Class Ultra Fast Recovery Diodes

The C3-class ultra fast recovery diodes are a new range of high performance power diodes based on innovative charge control techniques. The new range of diodes are manufactured using planar technology and utilises a triple charge control action including Semelab's Graded Buffer Zone Technology GBZone combined with lower emitter efficiency and local lifetime control techniques. The result is an industry-leading performance in key areas - switching speed, soft recovery, ruggedness, efficiency and leakage current. In addition, process simplification and the use of FZ starting material offer lower cost solutions for our customers.

The new diodes are aimed at high speed switching applications such as power conversion and motor drives requiring low loss and rugged performance accompanied with low levels of electromagnetic interference. The ultra fast diodes are available in the 300V- 1200V range and with currents ranging from 10A to 100A in die form. The diodes are available in Semelab's wide range of plastic and hermetic packages including different types of discrete and module outlines.
