Single Element Photodiodes |
|
The SMP
series is an established standard range of
discrete Silicon PiN Photodiodes in a
selection of packages.
Features:
• A range of active areas between
0.62mm2 to 100mm2
• Choice of optical filters |
 |

|
|
Small Area Hybrid Detectors |
|
The
SMPX500 series is a range of
integrated photodiode amplifiers
incorporating a 1.75mm2 silicon
PiN photodiode, operational amplifier and
transimpedance circuitry. The devices provide
a voltage output proportional to incident
light.
Features:
• Broad range of gain & frequency
response options
• Low capacitance 1.75mm2
active area photodiode
• Good frequency response
• Intergrated photodiode preamplifier
• Wide dynamic range |
 |
|

|
|
Large Area Hybrid Detectors |
|
The
SMPX140 series is a range of
hybrid opto-electronic components
incorporating a 15mm2 PiN
photodiode, operational amplifier and
transimpedance circuitry. The photodiode is
operated at zero bias for best linearity and
lowest dark current.
Features:
• 15mm2 active area
photodiode
• High sensitivity in applications
where detection is required over a large
area |

|
Hybrid Emitters |
|
The
SMPX600 series is a range of
LED emitters incorporating an internal
monitor photodiode providing a controlled and
stabilised light source.
Features:
The photodiode is close coupled to an
internal transimpedance amplifier giving a
voltage output that increases proportionately
with LED light output. This can be used with
a variety of external circuit configurations,
allowing current to the LED to be controlled
and adjusted as required. A variety of LED
wavelengths are available to suit different
applications. Custom wavelengths are
available on request. The device operates
from a single rail supply of +4 to +18V. |
