Japanese Earthquake – supply chain impact
The ongoing crisis in Japan is of major concern to TT electronics and our thoughts continue to be with those directly impacted and their families.
The long term effect on the supply chain is still unclear due to continued interrupted power supply problems and reports of potential raw material shortages that could impact supply in late Q2, through to Q4 2011. TT electronics is, therefore, committed to the continual monitoring of the extended supply chain and is liaising with our manufacturing partners and material suppliers in Asia to ensure continuity of supply.
TT electronics’ material management teams are maintaining regular contact with our suppliers and we are again asking them to review their base material stocks and lead-times from their suppliers. We can confirm that, currently, there is no shortage of supply.
The feedback from all of the TT electronics Components Division manufacturing centres in Europe, Americas, and Asia at the 5th of April 2011 is that there are no immediate or short/medium term supply issues.
